KCC의 이번 2009년도 여름학기 학비가 크레딧당 무려 $248이랍니다. 가면 갈수록 UH가 너무한다는 생각이 드는데요… 작년엔 얼마였을까요? 크레딧당 $200도 안했답니다. 제 기억으로는 $186 정도 했었던 것 같은데 이제 크레딧당 $248이면 살짝 과장해서 정규시즌이나 다름없는 학비가 나오네요. 여름학기 등록해서 수업 들어가면 교실에 앉아있는 학생 대부분이 유학생들 뿐이고 (현지학생은 여름학기 수업이 너무 힘들어서 잘 안듣는답니다) 이런 점을 노리고 학교에서 학비를 인상한 게 아닐까하는 생각마저 드네요. 186불에서 한 20불만 올렸어도 어느정도 납득이 가겠는데, 248불이라면 유학생들이 여름학기를 많이 듣는다라는 걸 노렸다라고 밖에 판단이 안가네요. 드디어 6주간의 여름학기가 끝났다. 솔직히 말해, 정말 죽을 것 같았다. 이번 세션에 수강한 과목은 총 2개. Hawaiian Study 107 – Writing Intensive, Managerial Accounting 202 하와이언 스터디는, 비록 Writing Intensive이긴 하나, 강사의 조금은 성의없고 무책임한 수업진행으로 인해 매우 편하게 수업을 들었다. 물론 International들은 A 받기 힘들다고는 하지만 그래도 Writing Intensive에서 international들은 B만 받아도 만족하지 않나? 아직 성적이 나오진 않아서 잘 모르겠지만 내 주위 애들은 다들 그랬다.
